    These free printable reading tracker bookmarks are perfect for keeping track of summer reading! They're also great for encouraging reading any time of year.

    Use these reading bookmarks in a classroom center, at home, or with your library activity. I hope you enjoy!

    How to make and use printable bookmarks

    Making your own bookmarks is easy. Here are the materials you'll need:

    • Paper and printer
      • Card stock is a good choice for these since they won't be laminated
    • Crayons, colored pencils, etc.
    • Paper trimmer or scissors

    How to use reading log bookmarks

    1. Grab your free printable PDF from lower down in the post.

    2. Print as many copies as you'd like. There are three different pages with four bookmarks each.

    Normally I recommend laminating bookmarks, but that doesn't work as well for these reading log bookmarks. Instead, use card stock to make the bookmark sturdier and colorable.

    3. Cut out the bookmarks. This is quick and easy with a paper cutter, but cutting by hadn't can provide your child with scissor skills practice.

    4. Have your child or students color in a shape every time they read. You can decide if coloring should happen after 10 minutes, 10 pages, a chapter, or a whole book. It's up to you!

    Your PDF has three pages with four bookmarks per page. Here's a look at what you're getting:

    This includes use with your own children, students, library patrons, homeschool co-op members, therapy clients, etc. as long as you are personally organizing the activity and not charging to participate.
