This colorful mocktail is a delightful holiday drink for kids that’s healthier than expected, too! It features natural food coloring and juice for a healthy treat.

This recipe uses homemade spinach juice for the green color. It has a very mild flavor you won’t notice, but if you don’t have spinach in the house or are worried about oxalates, you can add some ready made natural green food coloring.

How to make a Grinch mocktail with natural food coloring
Chill your glasses in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes for a frosty effect.

Make your spinach juice. Blend about ½ cup of fresh spinach leaves with a small amount of water until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to obtain approximately ¼ cup of spinach juice.
If you’re not making spinach juice, drop natural food coloring into ¼ cup of water until you make a vibrant green color.
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon-lime soda and cranberry juice. Add in the spinach juice. Adjust the amount of spinach juice based on the desired vibrancy of the green color.

Don't have a pitcher? No problem! Just pour the juice straight into your chilled glasses.

You can also not stir so the green forms a naturally dissipating gradient. I like this option because it feels like a Grinchy cloud to me.
Put a ¼ cup scoop of sherbet in each glass.

Slowly pour the soda and cranberry juice mixture over the sherbet in each glass, allowing the sherbet to froth and swirl.

Top with optional lime slices for an extra festive touch.

Serve immediately, while everything is still cold. Serve your natural Grinch mocktails with fun straws and enjoy the holiday cheer!
How to make your mocktail even more festive
For a decorative touch, dip the edge of the glass into honey, then coat with edible green glitter or red glitter to enhance the festive look and add sweetness.
- RICHEST RED TWINKLES: These bold red sanding sugar sprinkles are colored with plants, not artificial colors.
- COLORS FROM PLANTS: Artificial dyes can cause allergies and hyperactivity. So we vividly color our sprinkles with natural ingredients instead (yay).
- HEALTHIER BAKING: Modern chefs like to keep controversial ingredients out of their kitchens. So we avoid questionable stuff like soy, titanium...
You can also decorate the glasses with heart-shaped sprinkles by applying honey to the rim and gently pressing the sprinkles onto the honey as a symbol of the Grinch’s too small heart.
- Package includes :1 bottle edible red pink pearl sprinkles ,3oz
- ALLERGENS: May contain, Eggs, Dairy and Dairy Products, Peanuts, Tree Nuts and Soy
- Occasion:Add these rose love heart sprinkles to cakes, cupcake, cookies to make the cupcakes and other desserts look more delicious, helping you have...
