These printable alphabet letters pages give each letter of the alphabet in alphabetical order with the capital letter and lowercase letter.
One page is poster style with the letters in a solid font. This page is great for bulletin boards and classroom centers.
The other page is a cursive tracing worksheet with individual letters in a dotted tracing font. You can use this page to improve your child's handwriting and reading comprehension of things written in cursive.
Before introducing cursive alphabet worksheets, make sure your child is developmentally ready and has about two years of practice with printing. Most children are ready to learn cursive around second or third grade.
Lowercase cursive letters and uppercase cursive letters are frequently taught at the same time since children are already familiar with lower and uppercase letters by this time.
Because this writing style has become less commonly taught, many parents want cursive writing worksheets and cursive practice sheets to use at home. Less than half of US states currently require instruction in cursive writing!
As of right now, this set of cursive alphabet printable letters is the only set of free downloads here on The Artisan Life featuring cursive. If you would like to see more cursive alphabet trading worksheets in the future, please leave a comment and let me know.

Why teach cursive writing?
I won't launch into a huge diatribe, but I do want to quickly highlight some of the demonstrated benefits of learning and using cursive letters.
- Cursive writing activates different parts of the brain than printing or typing. In fact, it activates a whole lot more of the brain and helps the two hemispheres form connections and work together.
- Taking notes in cursive helps students retain information better
- Cursive handwriting may help improve fine motor control
- Evidence suggests that cursive writers have improved spelling

Making worksheets reusable
It's easy to make cursive alphabet tracing worksheets reusable when you place each page in a dry erase pocket or heavy duty page protector.
- Package includes 6 dry erase pocket sleeves in 6 bright colors, which are red, green, yellow, orange, pink, and blue.
- Mr. Pen dry erase pocket sleeves are made with durable and long-lasting PET plastic with industrial-grade stitching according to the highest quality...
- Our dry erase pockets measure 10 x 14 inches, which makes them perfect for storing most sizes of paper or student activity sheets.
Writing with a marker provides less resistance than using a pen or pencil so it can make writing easier and children develop hand strength and fine motor control. On the other hand, writing with a pencil offers more resistance so it helps build strength and control more quickly.
