How to use dot marker coloring pages
These black and white worksheets are friendly on your printer ink or copy budget. They're also very no-prep. All you need to do is download the PDF file and print the pages you want. Because there are 20 different shapes featured, you might not want to give your child or students the entire set at once.
The blank circles on the worksheets are perfectly sized for popular dot marker brands like Do a Dot markers and Doodle Hog.
We've used classic Do a Dot markers for years, but we're currently enjoying our Doodle Hog markers.
Doodle Hog markers are easier for little kids to grasp and they have a couple of small ridges on the cap that make it easier for little fingers to open and close the markers. At the time of writing, they're also a better per unit price than the Do a Dot brand.

I created a quick video highlighting these dot markers to show why we're loving them. (I will say that they need to be stored upside down if you don't want to need to pounce the marker several times when you start to use them for the day.)

At home or in the classroom, you can increase manual dexterity practice by having your kids use plastic chips or pom poms to cover each circle on the dot worksheets. To work even more on hand strength, have your child/students place each pom pom with plastic tweezers or toast tongs.
