How to make cinnamon rolls for two
If you need to make clabbered milk, this is the time. Put a tablespoon of white vinegar in a 1 cup or larger measuring cup, then fill with milk to the 1 cup line. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine the warm buttermilk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until bubbly and foamy.

In a larger bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add the melted butter and the foamy yeast mixture to the flour. Stir until a dough forms, then knead on a lightly floured surface for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean dish towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until it doubles in size.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape. Spread softened butter evenly over the surface.

Next, sprinkle a mixture of cinnamon and brown sugar generously on top of the butter.

Cut the rolled dough in half lengthwise to create two strips. Take one strip and gently extend the dough to make it longer (around 12-14 inches) by pulling gently.
Starting from one end, roll the dough tightly to form a thick log. This will create a denser roll. Repeat with the second strip to create the second thick log.

Cut each log in half, giving you a total of 2 thick rolls.

Place the two rolls in a greased medium-sized rounded baking dish, ensuring there is enough space between them for rising.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let the rolls rest for another 10-15 minutes while the oven warms up. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Once the cinnamon rolls are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes. Generously frost, if desired, and sprinkle with heart-shaped sprinkles for a festive touch.

Whether you have them for a sweet breakfast, brunch, or dessert, I hope you enjoy these thick, fluffy Valentine’s Day cinnamon rolls for two!
