I recommend printing these jokes cards on white card stock or, my favorite, 32 lb HP paper. It's super bright white and has a smooth coating so it's more fun to color on.

You can cut them apart with scissors, but a paper trimmer makes quick, accurate work of them. I use the Fiskars paper trimmer. I've had mine for well over a decade now!
