This color matching activity is easy to turn into a file folder game for classroom centers. It can also be used as a cut and paste activity to challenge your child's fine motor skills.
How to use your car themed color sorting activity for toddlers
This color matching activity is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. It's easy to use in classroom centers, in a busy binder, or at home.
You don't need much to use this free printable activity:
- Printable file (look for the row of purple arrows lower down in the post)
- Printer and paper
- Laminator, laminating pouches (optional if using heavy paper)
- Paper cutter and/or scissors
- Toy cars (optional)
First, grab your free printable PDF file from lower down in the post.
Next, print out both of the pages.
The car park page is perfect for slipping into a dry erase pocket.
Laminate the cut out page before cutting, if you want to cut less. If you want greater protection, cut the pieces out, laminate them, and cut again, leaving a small border around each piece.
I recommend laminating the cut outs to make them more durable. You can use the car park page in a dry erase pocket to save time.

Show your child or students how to place the car pieces in the correct parking spot to match the colors. You can add hook at loop dots or use poster putty if you want to include this activity in a busy binder.
