People frequently staple headband crafts together, but we prefer to use tape. Staples are fast, but they can catch on hair and rip it.
How to make a fall crown
First, download your printable PDF file from lower down in the post. Print one page for each child making the craft. A second page with more bands can be used to make bracelets, but probably won't be necessary to make a headband/crown.
Color the crown pieces and bands before cutting. Toddlers may only need the center portion of the crown and one extra band.
Older children will need a bit of a second extra band piece if they want the crown to sit across their foreheads instead of "perching" on top.
Cut out the fall crown portion and bands.
Tape the bands to make a crown that fits each child.
Turn extra band pieces into bonus bracelets! The bracelet shown below is from this sea turtle crown craft.

Your PDF file has two pages. The second page is not needed to make a headband, but it's fun for making bracelets.
