Free Printable Valentine's Mailbox Cut and Paste Craft

This free printable Valentine's Day cut and paste craft is a no-prep way for children to practice fine motor skills, handwriting, hand-eye coordination, and gluing skills.

In addition to the cut and paste mailbox craft, each page also has space to trace the word "mailbox." The craft is available in two versions - one color and one black and white.

Materials needed for a Valentine's Day paper mailbox craft

To make this craft, you will need:

Your free printable (look for the row of purple arrows pointing at the download button)
Printer access and paper or card stock
Bl unt tipped scissors
Glue stick
Preschool pencil or something else to write and trace with
Colored pencils or crayons, if you're using the coloring page version

My daughter prefers to trace and write the word on her cut and paste worksheets before coloring or cutting out the pieces. It's easiest for little learners to write on the page while it's still intact.

Coloring the mailbox pieces is easiest before cutting out the pieces.

Next, cut out the pieces. The mailbox has a back piece with a dotted border so it's easier to paste the colored pieces in place.

Glue the pieces together to make a Valentine's mailbox. A reference image is included. My daughter's completed craft is shown below along with her cut and paste Valentine craft.

Add glitter, colored sand, or other decorations, if desired.
