This recipe will make a lot of apple slice donuts! Scale up or down as needed.
- 4 apples
- 1 โ cups peanut butter (sub almond butter or tiger nut butter)
- Suggested toppings: roasted coconut, blueberries, strawberries, white chocolate, dark chocolate, and naturally colored sprinkles.

Making your own healthier chocolate drizzle is easy. Grab your favorite allergy friendly chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life brand), put some in a microwave save bowl, and microwave for about 20 seconds. Stir and microwave in 10 second intervals until they're melted.

How to make apple slice donuts
Wash the apples.
Slice the apple into ยฝ inch slices, discarding the top and bottom slice.ย This is easiest to do with a mandoline slicer, but it can be done by hand. I use this OXO slicer with a V blade.

Remove the center of each apple with a small biscuit/cookie cutter or use a melon baller.
Spread the peanut butter on each apple slice.

Sprinkle your favorite toppings over the apples and drizzle with chocolate if desired.

Blueberries, strawberry slices, and dried coconut flakes are delicious and wholesome! Sprinkles and other treats can be used to make the slices more dessert-like.

If you need to pre-slice the apples, use fresh lemon juice on the surface of the slices to prevent browning. Before decorating, pat them dry with a paper towel.
