This free printable pot of gold cut and paste craft is a no-prep way for children to practice fine motor skills, handwriting, hand-eye coordination, and gluing skills.
The craft is available in two versions - one color and one black and white.
Materials needed for a pot of gold paper craft
To make this craft, you will need:
- Your free printable (look for the row of purple arrows pointing at the download button)
- Printer access and paper or card stock
- Blunt tipped scissors
- Glue stick
- Preschool pencil or something else to write and trace with
- Colored pencils or crayons, if you're using the coloring page version
- Blunt-tip Safety-edge Scissors
- Blade Sheath Included is an Eraser
- Accommodates right and left-handed users
Tracing, writing, and coloring are all easier before cutting out the craft. Make sure your little learner completes these steps before you bring out the scissors!
My daughter decided a black iron pot was boring so she went with plenty of color for hers:
After coloring, cut out the pieces.
Glue the pieces together to make a pot of gold. It's a very simple craft with just three pieces so even younger kids can successfully make their own. The pot, gold, and band are all glued in place on the back plate (blank piece with the dotted outline)
