Today, I’m thrilled to share a brand-new set of emotions and feelings dot marker coloring pages
Talking about feelings with little ones can sometimes feel a bit heavy or abstract. These coloring sheets take the "big talk" and turn it into a fun, hands-on activity.

Each page features a child expressing a specific emotion, the name of the emotion in a fun bubble font, and plenty of spots for those dauber markers.
Older children may prefer these emotions coloring pages without the dots. Make sure to grab them, too!
These pages also go well with this free printable affirmation station to help teach more empowering words.
These dot marker pages are perfect to go along with reading books like the Teach your Dragon series.
These cute books focus on a behavior issue or emotion and ways to manage the feeling/situation. For example, Train Your Angry Dragon helps kids cope with, well, anger.

Teach Your Dragon to Stop Lying helped us out a lot at home when we had a small lying problem. They're fun, kiddo approved books!
Why We Love Dot Marker Pages
Beyond just being a quiet time lifesaver, dot marker (or dauber) pages are developmentally appropriate for little learners.
The improve fine motor development.
Aiming that marker directly into the center of the circle requires a lot of hand-eye coordination and control. This helps build the same muscles they’ll eventually use for writing.
They encourage focus and control.
Completing a whole page requires staying on task. Because the circles provide a clear "finish line," kids feel a great sense of accomplishment when the page is full.
Boost artistic confidence. Traditional coloring can be frustrating for kids who haven't mastered "staying in the lines" yet. Dot markers are very forgiving! It’s hard to mess up a dot, which keeps their confidence high.

The Power of Naming Emotions
Why focus on emotions? Well, "naming it to tame it" is a real thing!
When children learn the specific words for how they feel, they gain power over those feelings. Developing Emotional Intelligence (also called EQ) at a young age leads to better social skills, less frustration, and more empathy for others.
As your child colors the "Scared" page, you might ask, "What does your face look like when you're scared?" or "What makes you feel brave when you're feeling this way?" It opens the door for some really sweet (and often hilarious) conversations.

Creative Ways to Use Dot Marker Pages Pages
You don’t have to use dot markers to enjoy these! Here are a few other ways to use these printables:
Finger painting. Have your child dip their fingertip in paint and "dot" the circles.
Stickers. Use round office stickers or colorful reward stickers to fill in the spots. This is a fantastic "quiet activity" for church or doctor’s offices!
We use these round stickers because you get thousands of them for a pretty low price.

Use maniupatives. Place the pages in a dry-erase sleeve and have your child fill the circles with pom-poms, buttons, or even circle cereal like Cheerios.
Make an emotions gallery.
Once they are colored, hang them up! When your child is having a "big feeling" moment, you can walk over to the wall and ask them to point to the picture that matches how they feel.
