This printable escape room is designed for kindergarten and first grade students and will keep them engaged from beginning to end as they race to uncover the secret code. 

The puzzles cover essential learning skills and can be used as an engaging review lesson. Your students will love getting up to move around the room as their team works cooperatively to complete the puzzles.

This DIY escape room is virtually no prep. There are no complicated props to print or cut out - just the puzzle sheets and answer recording pages. No prep means no complicated set up time and less stress for you.

Detailed instructions are included so you can host a successful escape room party, even if you’ve never done an escape room before.

These escape room puzzles are designed for children 5-8. Two different difficulty levels are included so you an differentiate instruction. Both sets have the same answers, so you can mix and match for a customized experience that match’s your students’ needs.

Skills covered include:

• Alphabet
• Unscrambling letters (harder version)
• Addition within 10
• Addition and subtraction in the same problem (harder version)
• Directions (left, right, up, down)
• Numbers and counting
• Beginning letter sounds
• Even and odd numbers

Fluent reading is not required if adults help read instructions. Children do need to recognize their letters and numbers to play. Suggestions for playing with non-readers are included.

Game time is approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on student level and how much adult help is given.
