Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 because the date is 3.14 to match the first three digits of pi.

How to print and use activity placemats

These activity placemat printables are sized for US letter paper.

If you want a different background color, you could use a pastel paper. Using a darkly colored paper could make the fun placemat designs difficult to see and use.

It's easy to make your free activity placemats reusable when you laminate the pages or slide each one into a heavy duty page protector or dry erase pocket. This also makes messes easy to wipe off!

If you decide to laminate the pages, make sure to provide wet/dry erase markers or, our favorite, Stabilo Woody 3-in-1 pencils.

These pencils don't have ink to stain or stink, and they color fantastically well on laminated pages. Watch the video below to see them in action! (The printables shown are these dinosaur coloring pages.)
