My family is not Jewish, but some of my sister's in-laws are Jewish. I like for my daughter to be at least somewhat familiar with their beliefs and holidays when she sees them.
I think it's important to teach children about all major word religions. I love the book My Friend's Beliefs for offering a child-friendly view into different world faiths. The Amazon suggestion is 10 and up, but I received my copy when I was 7 or 8.

Last year we found a fun Hanukkah story book for pre-k and k ages children called Little Red Ruthie. Ruthie, when faced with a Wolf who wants to eat her, reminds herself to be brave like the Maccabees. She feeds him homemade latkes until he's too full to want to eat her, anymore. It's a lot of fun!

For a telling of the Hanukkah story that's geared towards the kindergarten age range, The Story of Hanukkah is our top pick. It has a lot of explanation and history, not just a cartoony overview like some other children's Hanukkah books.

How to print and use a printable bingo game
There's no need to buy a bingo cage or worry about numbered balls when you play this easy picture bingo game!
This picture bingo is a twist on the classic game of bingo. Instead of numbers, each space has an Hanukkah-related image.
This Hanukkah bingo game is fun for small groups. It can be used in classroom centers, for classroom parties, at home with your whole family, or with homeschool groups.
Many other bingo games I've shared, like this Christmas bingo game, these bingo cards have a 3x3 grid and there are only 10 unique bingo cards due to the small image pool.
Make sure to print your bingo cards on card stock or laminate the pages for durability. I prefer to use 32lb HP bright white paper instead of plain paper because it produces more crisp, vibrant images. Laminate the sheets or slide them into dry erase pockets so they can be reused.
- Package includes 6 dry erase pocket sleeves in 6 bright colors, which are red, green, yellow, orange, pink, and blue.
- Mr. Pen dry erase pocket sleeves are made with durable and long-lasting PET plastic with industrial-grade stitching according to the highest quality...
- Our dry erase pockets measure 10 x 14 inches, which makes them perfect for storing most sizes of paper or student activity sheets.
Don't be surprised if your children or students want to play multiple times in a row!
If you laminate the pages, players can mark their responses with dry erase markers. Chocolate coins are another fun way to mark game boards.
- Dry erase markers in a range of bold, vibrant colors
- Ultra-fine tip for precise marking in small spaces
- Low odor ink, ideal for home, classroom, and office use
How to play picture bingo
There is a sheet of calling cards at the back of the PDF. Cut them out and place all of the tiles into a bowl or bag.
Have an adult draw cards one at a time and announce/show the image to the players. Some of the images are similar, so children will have to pay attention to the picture and the color.
Players mark off each image as it's called.
The first player to get three in a row wins! Because of the smaller number of unique cards in this set, multiple children could "win" on the same turn. In my experience, kids frequently want to play until they all win or have the whole card covered, so don't worry too much about having more than one "winner."
