To make these pages truly pop, you’ll want to choose the right tools. Here are my favorite coloring materials for bringing these cozy spooky pages to life:

Alcohol Markers
If you love vibrant, streak-free coloring, alcohol-based markers (like Ohuhu or Copic) are amazing. Just be sure to print on a thicker cardstock so the ink doesn’t bleed through!
Acrylic paint markers.
Lately I've been loving acrylic paint markers instead of alcohol markers. They don't blend as well, but they have vibrant colors and cost a lot less!

JellyRoll pens are the best, but they're also pricey. We're very happy with the Tanmit gel pen performance at a much more budget friendly price point.

For the best coloring experience, I highly recommend printing these pages on bright white cardstock or a high-quality heavy-weight printer paper (like 28lb or 32lb paper).
These options hold ink much better than standard copy paper and prevents tearing if you like to layer colors!

Fun Ways to Use These Free Printables
Coloring is great on its own, but you can also weave these printables into your family's fall traditions:
Host a Cozy Halloween Coloring Night
Put on a nostalgic, family-friendly Halloween movie (like Hocus Pocusor It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown), brew up some hot apple cider or hot cocoa, light a pumpkin-spiced candle, and sit down to color together.
Classroom or Homeschool Activities
These pages are sweet and non-frightening, making them perfect for elementary school classroom parties, morning work, or a brain-break activity during homeschool lessons.
DIY Halloween Decor
Once you or your kids finish coloring a page, don’t just slide it into a drawer! Frame them to create custom, homemade Halloween wall art, or tape them to windows to let the autumn sun illuminate your artwork.
Reusable Play Mats
Laminate the uncolored pages! Your kids can use dry-erase markers or play dough to fill in the scenes over and over again.
