July info and important dates
July is the seventh month of the year and the first full month of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Summer officially begins with the Summer Solstice in late June, but most of June is technically spring.
In the Roman calendar, it was originally called Quintilis, which means fifth month. It later became the 7th month of the year, but kept its name until the Roman Senate renamed it for Julius Caesar in 44 BC.
July is famous for warm weather. It's usually the hottest month of the year in the Northern Hemisphere (and the coldest in the Southern Hemisphere). The hot weather makes it a popular month for summer vacation and summer camp.
There aren't many major holidays in the month of July. In the United States, only July 4th, Independence Day, is a Federal Holiday.
Even though July is traditionally one of the summer months and completely off from school, some districts with year-round school are now starting back in August.

It's easy to use these free printables for various planner sizes, not just standard US letter-size paper. Just print the pages to scale and trim away the excess paper. You don't even need to do any math - I've already done it for you in the chart below!
