How to print and use menu planners

These pages are easy to print and use because they have printer-safe margins.

I recommend printing on bright white 32 lb paper. It’s heavier and brighter than normal printer paper, which means your planner will look nicer and hold up better to use throughout the week. This paper is also very pleasant to write and color on.

These printables look great so you can put them on display. You can post them on your fridge or in your family command center to make sure you stay on track with meal planning and meal prep.

If you’re feeling stressed, you can relax by coloring the black and white menu planner pages. You can also check out all the free printable coloring pages here on The Artisan Life. There are tons of themes and I add new ones all the time!

As you can see in the preview below, each day has a box for general meal planning and a box for desserts. There are not separate breakfast, lunch, and snack boxes. Many people end up having similar breakfasts and lunches each day and focus mostly on planning supper. If you need more space, simply print additional copies of the page you’d like.

Two black and white menu planners with decorative elements to color. The front page is a May menu planner with space to plan meals and desserts for each day of the week. The page behind is a Mother's Day menu planner with space to plan the main course, sides, and desserts.

If you plan to use this in your letter sized household binder, just print your preferred pages, hole punch, and place them in your binder. (Be sure to grab these free printable bill trackers, too.)

You can also print these menu planners to scale and put them in your favorite planner. I’ve already done the math for you – just use the chart below, print your page scaled down, then trim them with a paper trimmer.

You’ll need to use the correct hole punch for your planner. Happy Planner has its own proprietary punch. Many of the six hole planner styles can be used with an adjustable six hole punch.
