This free printable beach flip and find game is a fun cross between I Spy and a matching game. It will provide endless entertainment for your entire family or classroom. I hope you enjoy!

This game is inspired by the out of print I Spy Flip 5 game and a Ravensburger game I love called Differix. Differix also appears out of print. I'm so glad I still have my childhood copy!
This I Spy matching game was designed with preschool and kindergarten students in mind, but it's fun with children and adults of all ages. It's particularly beneficial for younger children because it challenges their attention to detail and visual discrimination skills.
Honing these skills helps your child learn how to read letters and recognize numbers, as well as pay more attention to details during their everyday lives. Matching and visual discrimination games are also frequently used to help children with dyslexia.
I recommend printing the game boards on a premium, heavy duty paper or a bright white cardstock. I also recommend laminating the pages and cards for durability. Laminate the cards first, then cut them out to save yourself from cutting everything twice. Use a paper trimmer instead of scissors to make cutting quick and easy.

This flip and find game can be played as a solitaire game or with a group. Played as solitaire, the player can go through all of the cards until every image has been found.
To play as a group, you can either play until all flip cards have been used or until one player accumulates a certain amount of points (5 or 10 points, for example).
Use one board at a time. All players play off the same board. Flip over a card. Whoever finds the exact image match first wins the round. Players can either keep the card to act as their score token, use one of the included leaf token cards, or use some other counter to keep track of points.
Young children can mark off each image as it's found. This makes the game easier and is not recommended for older children.
