How to print and use number order puzzles
First, grab your printable PDF files. The download is lower down on the page - look for the large blue image that reads "click here to download your printable."
Print your pages. I recommend 32lb bright white paper because it's heavier duty than normal copy paper and prints nicer, brighter pictures. It's also surprisingly affordable and eco-friendly. (HP produces all of their papers without deforestation.). For a look at this paper in a side-by-side comparison with several other options, please visit this post on the best paper for printables.
- Made in USA: HP Papers is sourced from renewable forest resources and has achieved production with 0% deforestation in North America.
- Heavyweight premium printing: HP Premium32 is a heavyweight (32 pounds), brighter (100 bright) and whiter (163 whiteness) paper with a super-smooth...
- Certified sustainable: HP Premium32 presentation paper is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified and contributes toward satisfying credit MR1...
Laminate the pages. This is optional, but highly recommended. I almost always laminate printables. If you want these number order puzzles to be part of a classroom math center or reusable at a later time/with other children, you should laminate them. An at home laminator typically pays for itself with 15-20 uses.
We have laminated matching cards that my daughter has used for over a year. They wouldn't have lasted that long without lamination, so we would have ultimately wasted more time, ink, and paper printing and cutting multiple copies.
- LAMINATING MACHINE: One Scotch TL901X Thermal Laminator to help you protect frequently used documents up to 9 in. wide
- PROFESSIONAL FINISH: Two heated rollers with two temperature settings create bubble- and wrinkle-free results that give your holiday paper items a...
- FAST LAMINATING: Laminates one letter-size page per minute and has a release lever for quick pouch release to save you time during the busy holiday...
Cut the puzzles into strips. This is easiest to do with a guillotine-style paper cutter, but I prefer to use my paper trimmer if my daughter is around because it's safer.
You can cut the puzzle by hand, it's just more time-consuming.
- ARTS AND CRAFTS STAPLE: Fiskars SureCut Deluxe Craft and Office Paper Trimmer is a great addition to scrapbook supplies, stationary projects, and...
- PRECISION ART SUPPLIES: Scale and base deck grid help ensure accuracy; Break- and fray-proof SureCut wire cut-line makes it easy to see where the...
- LONG LASTING AND RELIABLE: Lightweight and portable trimmer is easy to transport and store; Fiskars craft supplies and materials are built to last
