Printable January Calendar for 2024

This free printable January calendar is dated for 2024 so you can get organized for the start of the year without a trip to the store in holiday traffic. Two versions are included - one in full color and the other in "less color" that's more kind on your printer ink. I hope you enjoy!

January is the first month of the year in both the Julian calendar and Gregorian calendar systems.

It is named for Janus, the Roman god of doors. In Roman mythology, Janus had two heads and looked both forwards and backwards. He was consider not only the god of doors and archways, but also of fresh beginnings and transitions. Sounds pretty perfect for January, doesn't it?

January important dates

There are several notable dates and holidays in January. Here are a few January holidays and special days for January, 2024.

New Year's Day - January 1st
Epiphany - January 6
- This day is celebrated by some as the day the Wise Men arrived. It is the end of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day - January 15 (third Monday of January and a Federal holiday in the United States)
Makar Sankranti - January 15
- A Hindu harvest festival, it marks the transition of the sun from the zodiac house of Sagittarius to Capricorn

There isn't a whole lot going on in this coldest month of the year, but maybe that's a good thing so we can all rest a bit after the busy holiday season!

Your blank January calendar only includes dates, so you'll need to write any any holidays or important events you want to note.

How to print your own monthly calendar

These free printables are great for keeping track of important days, special occasions, etc. during this first month of the year. A single page calendar is a great way to see the entire month at a glance.

It's very easy to print your own monthly calendar. All you need is your PDF calendar and printer access! It makes a cute wall calendar and can also be posted on fridge, at your desk, etc.

This cost-free January calendar template is designed for standard US letter-size letter. It is in landscape orientation (not portrait orientation).

Both pages are saved in PDF format in the same file. Just pick which page you want to use and make sure to select only that page (1 or 2) when you print. This is easy to do in the print dialogue box of program you use to view your PDF Files (Adobe Reader, Preview, etc.)

If you're using A4 paper instead of US letter, make sure to select the "scale to fit: print entire image" option:

This is a Monday start calendar so that the weekend days are easy to plan together.

This monthly calendar template is in portrait orientation and has a spot for notes and to jot down a "top three" for the month. These could be top three gratitudes, top three to-dos, or something else. The choice is yours!

I recommend printing your monthly planner on HP premium paper. It's a great options because it's thicker and brighter than "regular" printer paper, which means your calendar will look more professional. It's easy to print your PDF files to scale and trim them down for use in a personal planner or travel planner.

I've already done the math for you. Just use the appropriate percentage from the chart below, print to scale (instead of fit), and cut away the excess with a paper trimmer.
