How to use printable order numbers worksheets
This interactive worksheet helps build a strong foundation for learning 2-digit numbers in the future. You can't could beyond 10 if you don't have a solid grasp on numbers 1-9! Starting with the small numbers is essential for developing counting skills.
There are several ways to use these math worksheets. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Use them for independent work in the classroom or for your homeschool lesson plans
- Use them in math centers
- Use them for early finishers
- Use them with a small group
- Use them as extra practice for therapy clients or children still working towards mastery
It is easy to turn this cut and paste page into a file folder game or center activity if you'd prefer not to print a copy for each student.
This worksheet can also be used as a coloring page. You could ask your students to color the reindeer, or color code the boxes according to whether the number is odd or even.
The exact materials you'll need will depend on whether you decide to use this as a cut and paste worksheet or a file folder game/center activity.
Have your child cut out each number tile. If they are new to this type of activity, you may want to help them with arrange numbers before gluing them down.
After the number sequence is completed correctly, have your child glue the numbers onto the squares in ascending order.
To make a reusable number activity you will need:
- Your free printable PDF
- Paper and printer access
- Scissors or paper trimmer
- Hook and loop dots or poster putty
- File or box to hold the number tiles, optional.
Print and laminate the worksheet, then cut out the tiles. Use hook and loop dots on the squares and number tiles, or provide poster putty or play dough for sticking the numbers in order.
You can place extra hook and loop dots on one side of a file folder and tape the reindeer worksheet to the opposite interior face of the folder. You can also place the number tiles in a small box (such as a box normally used for task cards).

Your child or students still complete worksheet by placing each number tile in the correct order, but the worksheet is reusable for repeated use. This is a great way for children to practice arranging numbers if they're still working on the concept of ordering numbers.
